He was a mean old git alright, but Marion was still a star.
Marion was Hearst’s mistress, not wife. His wife refused to grant him a divorce so he lived w/Marion at San Simon. Now the funny thing about that is…. Hearst did NOT allow unwed couples to sleep together when they visited him at the castle. Can you say hypocrite? I knew that you could.
