So you’re going to college ! ( left) Doesn’t Priscilla Lane look a dream in this casual all-day-round dress suited for campus and class? The long sleeved crepe blouse is a deep Hunters green crepe, while the Tartan skirt is of smooth wool in shades of green, orange, yellow and black. The plaid is used diagonally with pleats stitched to a point below the hips. A wide plaid wool belt joins the dress at the natural waistline.
(Right) For tea dates or an occasional drive to town, shopping bent Priscilla wears this extremely youthful dressmaker-type suit with a full, gored skirt of rich wine-coloured wool topped by a scalloped jacket of soft powder blue wool. The lapels of the jacket are faced in the wine coloured wool, and her chic little hat, with its provocative veil, is wine.

( Left) Just how smart huge checks can be this January is demonstrated by Priscilla in this trimly lined Princess coat in beige tweed ( flared at the waist). The unusual double breasted treatment is achieved by two large buttons at the natural waistline, and the collar is finished in velvet. Her pleated felt tam and other accessories are carried out in this shade.
( Right) A smart version of the mismatched suit is Priscilla’s favourite costume for football games and long drives into the country. The monotone black skirt flairs slightly and is topped with a fitted jacket of yellow and black tweed in a diagonal weave. Narrow black binding is used on the brief revers and pockets. A swagger coat of matching tweed makes this an all winter-long costume !

That’s all !
