Opened in 1867, Cedar Crest College is a private liberal arts women’s college devoted to training young women in the art of living. Set on a spacious knoll of wooded land on the outskirts of Allentown.
It has been consistently voted one of the top women’s colleges in the US. It represents all that is best in the cultural development of a woman.
This film – an educational one made in 1954 is an edit from the full narrated feature available on the Prelinger Archive. Glamourdaze concentrates of course on its aspects showing of the college fashion of the 1950s showing the hairstyles, day wear, evening wear and sportswear of the period. It makes a charming trip back in time.
