American women from South Dakota, way back in 1939, show they can match any New Yorker for style!
Time Shift – Women’s Street Styles filmed in 1939.
The theater projectionist was well known for his ‘local films’ taken in all seasons of the local citizens going about their daily lives. The films were shown at the local Strand cinema and by all accounts were extremely popular. Glamour Daze of course honed in on the women and their gorgeous styles and created this film as a tribute to them. It would be interesting to trace their names and find out who they were. So if anyone from South Dakota sees this, please let us know if they recognize anyone and we will gladly add their names.
Enjoy.
