Thats a really great story and its a shame things are so different today. Foundation garments were seen as essential back then and I remember the ones my mother had, she used to call them 'roll ons'.

I get irritated wearing shirts that tuck in. I can imagine what I'd be like if I had to wear that.

I wished their were Corsetiers today. It would be ever so helpful. The vintage books I read talk about all the fabulous things they did. Must have been a fantastic service.
